Anfang Juli habe ich über das Angebot des Status Match zu Choice Privileges geschrieben: Status Match | Edition Choice Privileges. War dieser Status Match lange nur Nord-Amerikanern vorbehalten, können nun auch Europäer ihren Status matchen lassen.
Status Match
Meine Anfrage wurde innerhalb eines Tages positiv beantwortet:
World of Hyatt Explorist = Choice Privileges Platinum
Platinum ist der höchste Status, der bei dieser Promo gematcht wird. Der neue Status ist mir bis Ende 2018 sicher, das ist eine sehr großzügige Regelung.
Folgende Statusprogramme werden von Choice Privileges gematcht:

- Club Carlson
- Hilton Honors
- World of Hyatt
- IHG Rewards Club
- La Quinta Returns
- LeClub Accor Hotels
- Marriott Rewards
- Starwood Preferred Guest
- Wyndham Rewards
I received your Hyatt information and based on your elite level, you were upgraded to an Elite Platinum member with the Choice Privileges® rewards program. Congratulations!
The Elite Platinum status is the highest status awarded under the match program and will be in effect for you until December 31, 2018. After this date, you must qualify for elite status each calendar year by staying with Choice Hotels.
The Choice Privileges program has three levels of elite membership: Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. The elite members earn a point bonus of 10%, 25%, and 50% respectively on the standard points earned for any eligible stays. You will receive any applicable bonus points on the one room that you occupy.
Interessanterweise wird der Nordic Choice Platinum Status (Status Match | Edition Nordic Choice Club) nicht gematcht:
Unfortunately, we do not currently match status with Nordic Choice.
Fazit
Wie häufig bei einem Status Match wissen wir noch nicht, ob wir je in einem Hotel des gematchten Programms übernachten werden. Das müssen wir auch gar nicht wissen:
Hauptsache wir besitzen weiterhin gute Status, um zu weiteren Programmen zu matchen.
