Cathay Pacific wird zwischen Hong Kong und Osaka jeweils zwei Hin- und Rückflüge anbieten, die wir nur mit Asia-Miles-Meilen buchen können.

Im August und September können wir diese Flüge ausschließlich mit Meilen buchen.

Cathay Pacific bietet zwar zwei Flüge je Richtung an – um Osaka für ein langes Wochenende zu erleben, bietet sich allerdings nur jeweils ein Flug je Richtung an:
Der Hinflug (CX8538) ab Hong Kong (HKG) startet am 30. August um 09h35 und landet in Osaka (KIX) um 14h25. Der Rückflug (CX8541) wird Osaka am 3. September um 17h00 verlassen und um 20h00 in Hong Kong ankommen.

Einsatz Asia Miles

Zum Einsatz kommt jeweils ein Airbus A330. Die Economy kommt auf 10.000 Asia Miles während für Business Class 25.000 Asia Miles aufgerufen werden. Das sind die regulären Raten, die ohnehin für diese Relation gelten.

Asia Miles ist Transferpartner von American Express Membership Rewards und SPG.

Kabine

Gut möglich, dass Cathay den A330-300 (Seatguru: 33P) einsetzt, der über eine Zwei-Klassen-Bestuhlung (Business/ Economy) verfügt. Business ist in 2-2-2 angeordnet, Economy in 2-4-2. Die hier verbaute regionale Business ist eher mit einer Premium Economy vergleichbar.

How to Redeem

1. Login to Online Flight Award Booking System
2. Input your itinerary between “HKG” and “KIX” in which the travel dates must include either 30 August or 3 September 2018
3. Choose “Economy Standard”/ ”Business Standard” in the flight award type and then select CX8538/ CX8540/ CX8541 flights
4. Click „Next“ button and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your booking

Fazit

Cathay Pacific Asia Miles hat erst vor kurzem das Einlösen und Sammeln von Meilen grundlegend umgestellt [Info]. Gut möglich, dass das Programm mit dieser Aktion (gute) Publicity herstellen möchte.

Da das Einlösen für diese Flüge nicht rabattiert wird, ist außer der erhöhten Vefügbarkeit kein größerer Nutzen für die Kunden erkennbar.
